Ideal Casting Limited is looking for talented Ugandan actors to be part of an upcoming documentary short film.
This is a paid production and an opportunity for actors who can bring authenticity, emotion and strong character presence to the screen.
CASTING ROLES
BOY — 6–8 YEARS
We are looking for a boy who:
- Can convincingly play 6–8 years old
- Has a round face and medium-brown skin
- Looks wiry or small for his age
- Has intelligent, expressive eyes
- Has a mischievous smile
- Has a good imagination and sense of adventure
- Must be comfortable acting and taking direction
MAN — 18–25 YEARS
We are looking for a male actor who:
- Can convincingly play 18–25 years.
- Has a round face and medium-brown skin.
- Has a lean/slim build.
- Has intelligent, expressive eyes.
- Has a good sense of style.
- An afro is a plus.
- Must be a good actor with strong screen presence.
MAAMA — 50s
We are looking for a woman who:
- Can convincingly play a woman in her 50s.
- Is Muslim.
- Has a small build.
- Is healthy and strong.
- Must have good acting ability and be comfortable performing for camera.
TAATA — 60s
We are looking for a man who:
- Can convincingly play a man in his 60s
- Is Muslim
- Has a medium but strong build
- Has strong facial features
- Must be a good actor who can portray character and emotion naturally
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
This casting call is for actors.
Matching the physical description is important, but it is not enough. We are looking for performers who can act, take direction, express emotion naturally and bring a character to life on screen.
Previous professional experience is an advantage, but strong acting ability, authenticity and screen presence are what matter most.
